CRYOLIPOLYSIS
Seeking for a non-invasive way to get rid of your body fats without surgery?
Cryolipolysis is the only FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approved method of fat freezing yo get your body the shape you have always wanted even after struggling with diets & exercises. It’s non-surgical, non-invasive and requires no recovery time. And it’s effective in reducing fat cells in a given treatment area by up to 20-25
How does it work?
During a cryolipolysis procedure, your practitioner will use a special tool to cool certain parts of your body to freezing temperature. The procedure freezes and kills fat cells in the part of your body that you’re having treated. Within a few weeks of treatment, these dead fat cells are naturally broken down and flushed out of your body through your liver.
Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis, also known as “fat freezing” or by the product name CoolSculpting, is a new procedure that involves the non-invasive cooling of body fat to break down fat cells, resulting in a reduction of body fat without damage to other tissues.
When is cryolipolysis appropriate?
The procedure is appropriate for the following condition:
- Excess fat
Who is not a candidate for a cryolipolysis?
People who are not in good overall physical, mental and emotional health may not be good candidates for the procedure.
What can I expect after having had a cryolipolysis?
- Cryolipolysis has no recovery time; clients can resume their normal activities the same day.
- Cryolipolysis therapy typically requires multiple treatment sessions.
- Clients will observe a visible decrease in fat bulges in two to four months.
HOW MANY CRYOLIPOLYSIS TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Each treatment will be performed several months apart, to give the body enough time to react naturally, and dispose of the fat cells organically. Typically it is best to wait a minimum of 30 days before starting a new session of Cryolipolysis, with 4 months being ideal. It is best to ensure you’re healthy before every treatment session and if you’ve had previous treatments, wait before you treat the area again to ensure all possible side effects have diminished.
A patient can, however, have multiple areas of Cryolipolysis done at the same time, in one session. It is only suggested they wait when wanting to re-treat an area. Treatments Are As Unique As Your Body.
Cryolipolysis relies on your own bodies ability to rid the body of fat cells. Therefore it can take time to see results.
So it is important not to get frustrated by waiting and be patient. If it has been 4 months after your procedure and you still do not see the results that you want, you can consider going for a second treatment.
It’s also important to note that Cryolipolysis is not a treatment for obesity. Rather, it can help eliminate small amounts of excess fat that doesn’t easily go away with diet and exercise alone.
Cryolipolysis can naturally diminish between 20-25% of the fat cells in the areas it covers. It will not help you lose weight, however, it can improve the shape of your body, making it appear as though you’ve dropped kilos. This is because a 20-25% reduction can make a huge impact on the appearance of stubborn bulges. It can provide a visible difference for all body types. However, it is not as effective for larger pockets of fat.
Cryolipolysis is most effective when a patient is close or nearing their ideal, healthy weight. Typically, a patient should only have about 10-12 extra kilos to lose. Clients at the ideal weight for this procedure may only need to undergo one round of Cryolipolysis to achieve their goal appearance.
SOME COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF CRYOLIPOLYSIS INCLUDE:
1. Tugging sensation at the treatment site
During a Cryolipolysis procedure, your practitioner will place a roll of fat between two cooling panels on the part of your body that’s being treated. This can create a sensation of tugging or pulling that you’ll have to put up with for 35-65 mins, which is how long the procedure usually takes.
2. Pain, stinging, or aching at the treatment site
Researchers have found that a common side effect of Cryolipolysis is pain, stinging, or aching at the treatment site. These sensations typically begin soon after treatment until about two weeks after treatment. The intense cold temperatures that the skin and tissue are exposed to during Cryolipolysis may be the cause.
A study from 2015 reviewed the results of people who had collectively done 554 crypolipolysis procedures over one year. The review found that any post-treatment pain usually lasted 3-11 days and went away on its own.
3. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising and skin sensitivity at the treatment site.
These are caused by exposure to cold temperatures. They usually go away on their own after a few weeks. These side effects occur because Cryolipolysis affects the skin in a similar manner as frostbite, in this case targeting the fatty tissue just below the skin. However, Cryolipolysis is safe and will not give you frostbite.
4. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia at the treatment site
A very rare but serious side effect of Cryolipolysis is paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. It occurs most in men. This means the fat cells in the treatment site grow larger rather than smaller. It’s not fully understood why this occurs. While it’s a cosmetic rather than physically dangerous side effect, paradoxical adipose hyperplasia doesn’t disappear on its own. According to the article, this complication is rare, affecting just 1 over 20,000 people, who with this unusual side effect, experience an increase in fat cells that can cause the treated area to bulge. It is more common in men and people of Latino or Hispanic descent than in other races.
During the procedure:
During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb within 5 to 10 minutes during treatment. Many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their Cryolipolysis treatment.
Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks.
After the treatment, the area is massaged for 2 or 3 minutes.
